Battlefront 2 Cursor not working

When I launch battlefront 2, if the game opens with it selected by my mouse, then the cursor will be the spinning ball while in menu and game. During a game, I can only move my camera within the rectangle that is the border of my monitor. If the game launches while not selected by my mouse, then the mouse might not show up at all in menu. Sometimes, seemingly independently of the other two possibilities already described, I will not be able to move the mouse from the bottom right quadrant of my screen, it will constantly highlight a menu box in that area. If I alt-tab out of the game when the mouse if cursor is mostly working, then when I re-select the game application the cursor becomes the spinning ball and acts as already described. This issue has persisted for a while, and I have both verified the game files and reinstalled the game. The game can function mostly well with a controller in the menus. I would really appreciate if someone has found an solution and could tell me it or comment a link to a thread with the solution. Thanks!
