Battlefront 2 does not launch

Battlefront 2 does not start. If i click on "play" it launches a window which says "launching game..." and under that the moving bar and under that "you can double click on game tiles to quickly launch a game" so just the normal launch screen. But nothing happens this can go on for a hour but the game just doesnt start. Why?

    @mrgenesis44 Which platform do you own the game on? It tends to screw itself up if you have it on more than one platform, Epic in particular. If you own it on EA directly, try a clean install of EA and run both the game and launcher as administrator.
