I have this too (on a trial version, not that this matters). I've tried all the usual fixes and the ones mentioned here without luck.
Anybody from EA able to help? I guess ultimately if I can't get the full game to install I might as well not bother buying the game.

Oh well, guess EA don't wan't my money.
- Thought I would update this as the problem soon returned. For me it turned out to be the Asus GameFirst app on my PC. Once disabled no more BFII problems.
