Battlefront 2 mod for ps4/5 is cheating?

there is a mod around that can improve graphics, increase fov, and greatly reduce input lag among many other things all of which should not be allowed on console. i understand i am wayyyyyyy late for this topic but it is being advertised on popular video sites alot recently. it absolutely is unfair for the regular players on console. Will it ever be addressed?
