Battlefront 2 not launching no matter what I do

Battlefront 2 doesn't launch at all, I've removed all mods and installed that 2013 redistributable bull**bleep**, nothing. Is my game broken forever and I just wasted my money, or is there a fix for this?

Sorry to say that just removing the mods may not be enough. Some mods leave the game unplayable. A Windows reset may be in your future.
