I've had this exact issue almost for a month now! There are only few times I receive no lag, but most of the time it's around. All the game modes feel unplayable because of this. I've tried reinstalling the game and for a moment it worked, but after the second time running the game I started receiving lag again. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I have tried everything to fix it and nothing helps so it has to be a server issue. My internet connection works completely fine on other games.
I don't really have high hopes for it getting fixed anytime soon (because it's EA) unless a lot more people will make reports about this maybe then they'll look into it.
I'm sorry you have the same issue. It's a really frustrating situation. In the meantime if you have friends who also play BF2 perhaps you could direct them here to endorse this report so it can actually be seen by EA. I will try and ask people in the game and in my friend group to do so. let us hope it's going to be resolved. May the Force be with you always.
