Yeah I'm in Melbourne City and this game is unplayable.
I have pretty garbage internet, so I switched to my Hotspot which worked great for an hour. I was getting great latency and got my first kill streak over 20. Then the game froze me in place and that came on and off for the next 2 games.
Then it dc'd me in the middle of a great match.
I've put up with a lot of BS and always try to enjoy a game, I enjoyed Battlefront a lot and have over a hundred hours. I enjoy Marvel movies in spite of their glaring faults.
This is utterly un-enjoyable and if I could have a refund I would.
I swore off Call of Duty games after Black Ops, haven't bought one since. If this doesn't resolve by Christmas, then I'm done (and I'm sure plenty others).
Also apparently theres a petition to have EA removed from the Star Wars franchise, I'm all for it.
Thank you for the posts. Sorry that this thread wasn't answered earlier, but the studio is investigating these issues: https://battlefront-forums.ea.com/discussion/85712/star-wars-battlefront-ii-latencies-on-game-servers/

I'm on PS4 and the play has been unbearable. Reading through other people's post I also started having a-lot of trouble after installing the patch. I thought last night with people going back to work and school the server lag would be better but it was just as bad. I agree with others on here...if I can't play and enjoy multiplayer then I might as well take the game back and let everyone know EA clearly has terrible multiplayer/online play.

I'm a PC player, and bought the version of the game that allowed for early access.
What I can tell you is this: There was NO lag, NO stuttering, NO issues previous to the patch that killed the micro transactions.
This was introduced since the last patch. As it is now, it is unplayable.
Roll the patch back, push it out to players, and lets see if that fixes the problems. If Microtransactions are pissing people off that much, they can stop playing the game. Something absolutely needs to happen as soon as possible, as I'm about to give up hope on this game ever being worth the money I paid for it.
- Anonymous7 years agoThere are still problems with lag for me. My entire experience seems to be a half second off. I dodge or roll to avoid death but I die before I roll and the animation I see "rewinds" back a half second a shows my death. In SFA, I seem to clear objects, but then crash into them after I pass them.

In my case, I sometimes everything is ok and all of the sudden I can't move but everyone keeps playing ok with no signs of lag. I can look around all the action but can't move or shoot and I get a message that internet connection is low but when I check it is normal with the same download/upload and ping. Even the server shows the same ping in EA account tab. and the enemy can see me ok because they kill me and I die as if I was just chilling.
Even worse, sometimes it comes and goes intermittently so I don't know if I should just give up and stop playing. I have reset the modem, restart PC, restart the game but nothing seems to help.- Anonymous7 years ago
Same for me. I gave the game the HUGE period to get their act together since buying it in November. I JUST started playing and my PC is pretty sweet, anything else I play including Battlefront I gives me NO issues ... this game? I can't even START the campaign mode without the opening video stuttering and lagging, ITS UNPLAYABLE ... forget that whenever I try to play the next chapter on Endor the game just loads and loads until it crashes.
I absolutely hate this game right now, I want every penny of my money back and am contacting tech support AGAIN tomorrow night and if that fails then my bank. EA will never dupe me again.
