It's called internet lag.
The lag is most likely because you are being routed to the California IP of 159.153.38.49. Open the game, sit in the main menu, open Windows Resource Monitor, go to the Network tab, select "starwarsbattlefrontii.exe" in the "Processes with Network Activity" section, then under "TCP Connections" the top item in the list will show what IP you are connected to under "Remote Address". If you are connecting to that IP, and your game is set to a server somewhere not in Calif, that is why you are lagging.

So what is the fix if you're not connecting to a local server?

Lag is off the hook today. As bad as it was when the game fix game out!

This thread is dead, but I'm gonna mention how I fixed my fps lag (even though since yesterday it seems I am getting lag again...). When you start the game, go into the details tab of task manager, right click the game in the Details list, then set priority to above average. Simply doing that had given me silky smooth game time for a while, but trying to set it to High instead of Above Average may land you with lag again.
edit: Okay so just to try it out, I checked resource monitor and saw I was connected to Australia for some reason at the main menu, and so after doing a repair of the game, and manually setting my ping location to Virginia (the location that gave me lowest ping), I played a game of Galactic Assault with 0 lag. I was amazed! Didn't have to do what I mentioned above with the priority settings. Thanks, to the person that mentioned checking the location of the connection.
