Battlefront 2 stat reset

I have been on chat all day with ea about something as simple as starting a new game. One agent said it’s an ea issue and could not give me a timeframe for a fix and the other said it’s psn who control this.
Now all of a sudden, I have no option for live chat. I spent £80 on this game!
Surely I have the right to start again?
It’s got independent inquiry written all over it.

    Nothing has changed.
    I’ve been on the phone to EA for the last hour and after being told that first it was an EA issue to be resolved. Second it was a psn issue. And now third it’s an EA issue which cannot be resolved. Some nonsense to do with the cloud. The advisor wouldn’t give me any detailed information and wouldn’t put me through to a supervisor/manager. I asked for a refund as I paid £80 for this and can’t do something as simple as starting a new game and they are currently saying no to that. Surely it’s my right as the consumer to speak to someone with authority about this issue but so far that right has been denied. I’ve been given a number to call which costs a lot per minute. I think they should phone me.
    I’m extremely disappointed with the level of understanding here as the consumer.
