No, nothing is overclocked.
Hi @ErmagerdUzername ,
I am having stuttering and unplayable performance with Battlefront 2 as well. My system setup is as follows:
Ryzen 5 3600
16GB DDR4 3600
Asus X570 Mobo
RTX 2080 OC
Samsung EVO 970 Plus SSD
For much of the game I was getting 4 to 35 FPS in 1900x1080 resolution using DX12 and was stuttering so badly I could see the frames refresh one by one. This is not acceptable as my i7 7700HQ laptop with a GTX 1080MQ was easily averaging 60-100 fps without stuttering.
I tried different settings in the bios, including PBO, overclocking, for few days without much success. I progressed through the game using my i7 laptop.
But finally I found the problem. Disable SMT!!!!
It appears that AMD's version of hyperthreading, SMT, is incompatible with the game engine. Disabling SMT now allows me to hit 100 fps in 2560x1440 where I was previously barely getting 30fps in 1920x1080.
Good luck!

Thanks, I’ll look into it and try it.
Another thing I’ve noticed... I use a controller to play the game. When it starts stuttering I put new batteries into my controller and the stuttering goes away. This has happened several times now where I replace the batteries and it stops stuttering so I don’t thinks it’s just a coincidence. The batteries aren’t actually dead yet but maybe it’s low enough that it’s causing some kind of issue? - 5 years ago@enduro70 Thank you very much for this. I had been struggling with the same issues. Running flawlessly in 4k now.
