Battlefront 2 verification lag

Everytime I type in the code of my verification it freezes my Whole system I've tried everything I know to do unplug it restart it no matter what same result. This has been happening for the past 2 months I'm sorry EA I absolutely loved this game and now it's not worth wasting my time.
