Battlefront II - I can't play Multiplayer

Whenever I try to play STAR WARS Battlefront II Multiplayer Assault it does not allow me to join. It simply says "Wait a full minute, then try again. If you keep seeing this, turn off your Xbox by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Then turn it back on and try your action again." I did turn off my xbox and try again, but it keeps saying the same thing.

Also, I don't have Xbox Live Gold. I know you need it for Hereos and Villains and Operations, but I don't think you need it for Assault. I may be wrong however.

    Nevermind. Did some research and found out you have to have Xbox Live Gold

    Yes, any form of online play usually required Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One. Without it, you will only be able to the singleplayer parts of the game, that don't require Internet connection.
