Still encountering crashes, and seem to be happening more frequently. Is there any indication that this an important issue that will be looked at? I know that its hard to narrow down what causes these kinds of things, especially when the program just closes without an error or crash report. It would be nice to know that the devs are aware that this is happening to a significant number of players on PC and that it is being looked into for a possible solution.

Yeah what the fudge is this man I just bought the game and can't even get into a match. It's been out since 2017...
try disabling the windows 10 overlay if you have that
Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately it has not made a difference that I can tell. I'll keep trying though!
This was a temporary fix but the game has gone back to crashing randomly.
Found a solution which has worked for now on this thread:

My solution was the following fix:
"1B.) Move the "STAR WARS Battlefront II" folder from "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II", to the desktop, restart computer and run repair
tool."
