This was a temporary fix but the game has gone back to crashing randomly.
Found a solution which has worked for now on this thread:

My solution was the following fix:
"1B.) Move the "STAR WARS Battlefront II" folder from "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II", to the desktop, restart computer and run repair
tool."
I'm back, and unfortunately this fix no longer works as the game still crashes randomly to desktop. Please help!
It would be nice to get some support for this issue, plenty of others are also unable to play the game they payed for because it randomly crashes. I'll keep posting to keep this thread near the top until someone decides to get involved and help find a solution.
any News on this, I opened a case #54144257, I have the issue since December and supports says I should just wait, but I waisted 30 Dollar for an upgrade which I never played because the game is Always crashing

I had some success after running a clean boot, but it didn't last as the game will still crash randomly to desktop without warning, error, or any indication of what is causing the problem. Just hoping to get some support here is all.
I have the same issue and I've posted a dozen times hoping for some support and have gotten nothing. But ill stand in line here on your post in hopes it will be different this time.
