Is it possible I bought it as a hard copy? I am not sure if games like this are still sold that way these days, so it didn't occur to me that maybe this is how I bought it?Though it would surprise me as there would be no reason for the game to be both in the EA and the Epic Games apps. Wouldn't it only appear in my Epic Games library if the game was purchased through them?
As I understand it, it will always show in EA app, even if you buy in Epic (or Steam, etc.). However, if you buy in Epic, you need to launch from Epic.
If it was showing in Epic, you likely got it there.
They were running some free promotions, so maybe that's how you go it. That would be an interesting discussion with Epic - "I got the game when you were giving it away. So, will you be providing me support?"
OK this is getting ridiculous. I figured, the helpdesks don't seem to be able to help me, so I will just purchase the game again (it's not like it's expensive). So I just bought it again, and guess what: the moment my order went through, the game is BACK IN MY EA LIBRARY INCUDING that I already played it for 44 hours! Screw this, I am gonna ask for a refund of this second purchase because if I only just bought it I couldn't possibly already have 44 hours of play under my belt.
