Hi,I doubt it but I was wondering if you are going to release Battlefront II on both Origin and Steam or just Origin or something like what Ubisoft does with being able to buy it on either platform but it connecting to both platforms when you buy it on say Steam when running the game.Thanks!

@yesnicee Star Wars Battlefront 2 won't be released on Steam Store since EA has own store and client. There are no reasons to distribute game via Steam. As you can see previous EA games were not released on Steam Store (except games that were released before launching of Origin). It's logical.

It's not "logical" at all.
Its just yet another of the literally millions of little ways EA has been scheming up to get more money from people.
Every PC game is playable on Steam, except for the new EA games that EA wants to force you to pay a monthly or yearly premium subscription for access to their own mediocre platform in order to play the game you just bought.
So not only does the game cost you $80, you can't even play it, until you have ponied up more cash for a monthly subscription, just to be able to play it.
Nobody is playing your games anymore, so you're having us pay for a monthly subscription just to play a single game that is going to be dying out soon anyway.
EA has been desperately nickel and diming us for so long now they just think it's how games are made. EA has let its Android game design forcing you to pay to play a normal game without grinding away 18 years of your life to pass the game, influence the rest of the gaming culture.
We see you've been closing EA offices like crazy, breaking promises, and treating the remaining employees that haven't jumped ship quite poorly.
All this because someone at the head of EA with a noob mba degree thinks he's being clever by creating perpetual payments on a single game,
Its pretty pathetic.
PC gamers are all on steam. All 100% of us.
Good luck selling 5% of the games you could sell on steam and trying to get your little victims to pay you for years and years to make up for all the 1337 PC gamers that aren't buying your little game with its own little extra cute paid service.
Steam should drop all EA games from its store.

EA don't make you pay a subscription to use Origin, mate. The only (obviously completely optional) subscription is Origin Access, which lets you play any game in the Origin Vault.

There is absolutely no need to have an active Origin Access subscription in order to play any of our games.

You can research Origin Access here to get a clearer idea of what's included in the service: https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/origin-access

If that doesn't interest you that's perfectly fine, again there is no requirement for it in order to play PC games.

Steam is sh*t anyway and we're sick of using them for everything. Thanks for the server, now gtfo of our games. Steam, Ubisoft and EA are all over reaching their boundaries with their platforms. We should simply install our games on our PCs like any piece of software and play it freely offline, and online we simply connect to your server using information provided. Not having to launch your giant resource hog client that takes control of our game and forces us to launch it from inside your client. It's pathetic and entirely self-serving. Gaming has gone on for decades without it. Stop trying to be steam. They're a dying company and people are looking for a way out of their monopoly on our gaming experience, since it's only the servers we're interested in. Stop being such doofs and just give us direct access to your servers. Don't be a part of the problem. Don't be the exact problem of your competitor. People are already sick of EAs profit mongering approach to gaming. If you want to survive, work on eliminating these fkn client programs from our gaming.

What's wrong with you? You're the one behaving like you have issues. Besides, you never responded to being called out for lying about having to pay a subscription fee on top of paying for the game itself in order to play it. Maybe stop talking trash about other people and consider the fact that you're the trash.
