The only problem I have with the vanguard shotgun is, well, it's a shotgun. With all the "can't have X in the game because it's not canon" yet a freakin shotgun is perfectly fine. The only instance I've ever come across of a slug thrower being used in Star Wars was in Attack of the Clones. And that was a sniper rifle. The rarity of even that assassin using it was made plain during the dialogue too. It's the one weapon in game I can't stand being there, and I feel that it was only put in-game to appease/draw the CoD crowd. It would make more sense to have something more SW instead, a charge up blaster, which would then make the timer make more sense. I mean if shotguns aren't breaking canon then bring on the pink Darth Vader.
