Best friends forever challenge glitched

Summarize your bug I have gotten kills with Chewbacca and Han Solo in the game mode Hero Showdown where my teammate also chose one of these characters. I have also gotten kills as one the these characters where my teammate didn't pick one of the characters. The progress bar is still at zero.

What is your time zone? CST - GMT - 6:00
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? From the main menu, navigate to the careers tab and select timed challenges.
What happens when the bug occurs? The progress bar does not move
What do you expect to see? I expect to see progress bar at 3/5.

For me its not rare; it's frequent.
not the only milestone that does this BTW. Similar issue with others - e.g. "play as Bossk or Boba".

I got the same problem i'm stuck on 1 out of 5 with "Best Friends Forever" Challenge.
After the hotfix it updated the Boba and Bosk one for me and rewarded me the emote-crate.
Since the hotfix it says i completed the Luke and Rey challenge but it doesn't rewards me the emote-crate and every game i load in i get the message onscreen that i completed the challenge.

For me it's stuck at 3/5 since yesterday and not register any more progress WTF and I even restart my Xbox twice

I completed the challenge, it was at 4/5 before I left the game. I came back the day after. Finished it, got back to the menu to claim the reward, nothing.

I just got out of a match the opposing team wasn't even moving and no I didn't message them. Can't say for my teammate, but doubt it. Anyway, I was playing as Han and I injured one of them and my teammate killed them. I got the message saying assist so and so teammate in gold lettering. End of match comes and nothing. No crate the bar didn't move I have been stuck on 4/5 for two days. Funny thing is, the matches before this one, I got the challenge done for Luke and Rey when I had two more to go on that one. I was even playing as Han and Chewie and nothing. Come on EA get this fixed there are 3 days and six hours left at the time of this posting. If you can't get "timed" challenges to work, don't do them or make sure they are glitch free before sending them out. This is getting old.
Edit: Just got it and I didn't even get a hit on the enemy when it popped on my screen. This is seriously beyond messed up. Good luck to you all with it.

@NicolasDL55, the same thing happened to me today, I had no crate, but the emote was still unlocked. Also the challenge restarted for me so that freaked me out, but I checked just in-case and sure enough I had the "Uh-Oh" Emote unlocked.

The weekly has completely reset for me with no previous reward, after displaying 5 of 5 while remaining incomplete...
What is even going on with Dice right now?

I was at 3/5 completion, did a match where my team was Han and Chewie and managed to get the challenge done, even showed up as done on the post-game screen.
Went back to main menu and no reward, checked the challenges tab and my progress is now at 1/5... WHAT.
Can Dice please look into this? The game is getting worse and buggier by the day.

The progression worked for 1 kill, after my original post, and has not worked since. Even when I get both kills.
