BFII crashing when I play Co-Op aerial characters.

BFII crashing when I play Co-Op aerial characters.

This seems to be a new issue with other players posting here. I will include the possibility that it happens when I press a specific key (F, maybe) which causes the game to close immediately. I might try and jump back in game and ask there if anyone is having the same issue. I am also wondering if I am just accidentally pressing quick keys to close my game, but, not with other players posting the same issue.

I crashed 4 times yesterday, and twice today. I also played Starfighter Assault with not problem.

Game and Origin are updated. I have not tried uninstall/re-install.

I meet recommended or minimum requirements for windows 10:

GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

Driver version 445.87

Intel i7 8700

16 GB ram (i'm installing more actually, but I don't think this is the issue)

my windows is up to date as well as drivers.

Internet is 400 Mb ethernet connection.

All my overlay functions on all my apps are OFF. Trust me, I went through the issue with the overlay a few weeks ago. Now this. Y'all owe us some Ahsoka.

Love,

Decontrol99

edit: including vid of the crash.

I've been playing as much with aerial as possible over the last couple days and have not crashed. I'll update one more time either way. The latest patch from earlier this week seems to have maybe fixed it.

  • Hello there,

I have the same problem. This seems only to happends when playing Aerial. It happends every single time when playing multiplayer at least ones (not every game but every day ...). It all began after the major scarif update, before that i didn t have problems with game crashes.

Actually today i ve seen an other player flying in the air and then he got stuck, after approx. 1-2s he was gone. (5min later it was me D: whos game crashed). The game freezes for 2 seconds and you can look around but not move and then the game is gone without an error message.

I m not sure if you have to use the abilities (at least 2 of the 5 times i can remember was this the case) or if you have to be way above the ground (like sitting on a building or vehicle).

New grafics driver does not seem to help, editing low latency mode does not help either.

    intel i7 9750H

    nvidia rtx 2060

    16gb RAM

    game lib on ext HDD

  • I've been trying to replicate the crash. I've crashed multiple times today just testing it out. In the heat of battle it's hard to keep track of your fingers. Ha!

But it happens almost every time I press 'E' to fire the aeril's rocket.

For those that see this, warn those in game who play aerial.

EDIT: also i think i'm holding down shift (run) a lot and maybe holding it down while pressing 'E'. hope this helps find a fix.

No solution as of today. A couple days ago I was playing Co-Op, Rocket Trooper, pressed 'E' to load my rocket and the game closed to Origin. No fingers on any other keys.

I'm going to play some more since there was a patch downloaded for origin or BFII, I think.
