Big lag online
Hi,
since BF2 has been offered free, it's horrible to play online : too much lag while I have a Gb/s network with low latency on PC.
It was perfect before, now it's a *.
It not acceptable for legal players who payed for.

Hi there, @fodger75.
We should go through some troubleshooting to rule out any issues on your end. First, are you on a wired or wireless connection? Also, if you haven't in a while, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem and router. Also, shut down your PC. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Start up your PC and try playing again. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
Are you serious ?
I didn't change anything.
I have a 1 Gb/s network bandwith (speedtest.net) with a low latency (~10 ms).
I bougth game since the beggining, and the fact is since your offered free BF2, lag is on every game.
So instead giving some basics advices that I manage perfectly, just report to support technical service.
I'm playing on european servers.
Are you on a wired or wireless connection? How long has it been since you power cycled your modem/router?
Ethernet, it's a fiber wire if you prefer.
As I said, and as many players it was perfect until BF2 has been given free.
Do you have a PC by chance? If so let’s find out how your connection is reaching our servers. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot the results? Instructions are here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic.
Here the result after a tracert command :
It appears a lack of anwser from EA server 159.153.72.53 with 100% packet loss.
I'm gona a "game mode" on my router.
it should may help a bit.
Sounds good. Let me know if that helps. As far as the 100% loss goes, that's normal. It's not actually losing packets. Those hops just aren't allowing pings so they return a 100% loss status. Your test looks good though. I'm not seeing any issues. How bad is the lag you're experiencing? Are you stuttering a lot?
