Big problem; terrain textures not loading

Hello,

I've recently bought an RTX 2070 gaming laptop and thought I would visit BF2 again.

Everything runs smoothly but there is one huge problem:

The terrain textures don't load on any map, this includes the campaign (Endor, Takodana, etc...)

I've tried switching the graphics settings and disabling directx 12, but nothing seems to help...

When I play with Directx 12 enabled, no textures at all load except for the HUD and the blue pictograms above team members.

What can I do to fix BF2?

    Hello,

    Sorry for the late response, I didn't think anyone would still use these forums...

    Anyways, I use a 1TB SSD.

    @thorakskillfull no worry's we are still around. More conversation in the general discussions board then tech issues. 🙂

    Is anything overclocked overheating while playing also did you try to reinstall the GPU drivers?

    @EA_Atic 

    The laptop is brand-new and I haven't yet used the overclock feature.

    I have tried a couple of things with the GPU and I must say that I now have a bug where;

    when using the Nvidia Geforce Experience interface, the newest driver doesn't seem to install...

    I click on install and it gets installed, but then when I check for new drivers, it wants me to install it all over again...

    Would you recommend deleting some of the game files, so that I can repair the files and it might download the ground textures?

    If this might work, where can I find the ground textures files?

    @thorakskillfull I see, this would not be texture issues its something on the PC not playing ball with SWBF2 and based on what you are saying sounds like Nvidia Geforce Experience having some issues.

    I would reinstall Nvidia Geforce Experience and the GPU drivers.
