Most common solution listed around is to disable Discord Overlay- It doesn't like to play nice with games.

If that doesn't work, another thing to try is checking to make sure BF2 isn't using DX12 (which also gets a little temperamental.)
Since you can't get into game at all, may have to do so via documents, as referenced here:

If not, some additional info:
Are you trying to run mods?
If not, what kind of drive is the game installed on? Loading screens (Or lack thereof, in this case.) of all games will usually see a slight improvement, but can be substantial improvement, from
M.2 Nvme > SSD > HDD
Occasionally while attempting to load mods, the game will hang on a black screen for an extended time, is the reason I ask.
