Unfortunately the glitch still occasionally occurs after the update.
Blocking definitely feels weird right now...
This bug still occurs after the July update. Attempting to block will consume stamina, but the animation and block function occasionally do not work.

I got this for the first time today, with Kylo Ren. Here's a video I captured: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x4oYJuhsYs&feature=youtu.be
You can see the stamina circle increase, but his lightsaber isn't raised, and Rey does damage to him. After dying and then spawning in it was back to normal.
