I've been having this problem on the PC and Xbox One versions, and it's extremely frustrating.
DICE needs to fix this problem immediately. It's already been a year... A YEAR. This is a serious problem that ruins an otherwise fantastic campaign. They can't leave this kind of an issue in as a permanent part of the game. Especially when the campaign AI used to work so well. It needs to be fixed!
