Can Origin and Steam Crossplay

No reason they could not, if there were servers for the steam only editions players they would have trouble finding games.

It's not cross-play since it's both on PC :-)

So yes, they can play together.

Steam X Microsoft X Epic Games playing together is often called "cross-play'' even by people, devs and websites. That's why he/she used the term, I think. Anyways...
Well, good to know that everything on Steam will be played in the same servers as in Origin.

So the two versions of the game can play together, but if my friend plays the game through the steam launcher and I play it through origin how can we "friend" each other and play in the same party?

@JoGoDaTroopaEven if you buy the game via Steam it still requires Origin to launch and run the game.

will i be able to add friends from epic games when im on origin?🤨 in (to a party in battlefront 2 of course) @New_Roosterman

Since Battlefront 2 does require an Origin account even when being launched through the Epic Games launcher, you'll want to be sure to add your friends in Origin to play together.
