I started getting this issue after linking my Epic account to EA. My Epic account owns Battlefront 2 and my Steam account owns Battlefront 2. It was working fine when only Steam was linked but now I have the exact issue you're explaining.

Do you have Epic and Steam linked to your EA account and have Battlefront 2 on both?
