Well we can't play through Steam until this is fixed. You can play Epic version if you want.
Hey everyone,
We are looking into the issue if you own the game on Steam and then add it on EPIC.
No new updates with me but we are still investigating the issue.
Marking this as solved just to highlight that its being investigated.

@EA_Atic
I contacted the Epic Games Store and requested a refund, so that they remove the game from my library. The problem with that is, I do not own the game on Epic Games anymore, yet it's still in my library, and it's also still linked to Epic Games on orgin. I can't open the game now, because, even though i can launch it from the epic launcher, they took down my game authetication code, so now the Epic one is Invalid, and I have also no posibillity to get one from steam. But I wrote that to the helpcenter in Epic Games, still waiting for an anwser.
I also tried reinstalling orgin and Battlefront while Epic took down their version on my account.
I hope this Information is somehow helpful 🙂

So I bought Star Wars Battle Front II - Celebration Edition, a couple of days ago.(see attached image) In order to play it, i needed to install ORIGIN, didn't even know what the fook was that.
once i installed it, i needed an account, but i didn't have one. So i "borrowed" my sister's.
Fast forward to a day ago when we found out that this game was free on EPIC GAMES, she decided to get the game.
Sooo noowwww the problem is............ Why does this stoooopid ORIGIN APP saying i need an ACTIVATION CODE when i bought this game with my hard earned money? All i wanted was just to enjoy this game on my days off from work.
Like didn't your team/a team think this through or sumshiiiit when you guys decided you were gonna make it free???? like seriously I'm foookiiin dumbfounded here.
I'm hoping you can help me since well, this is your guys' job 🙂

@SkywalkerTheOnelol, so even removing Epic version doesn't fix the issue great. You still can't launch Steam version right?
- 5 years ago@EA_Atic Do you know when the issue will be fixed anytime soon?

Still nothing.
Unfortunately, Support Epic is not even able to completely remove the game. After refunding and removing the game separately by support, it still shows as installed and can be linked to Origin account. When I click on Epic (refunded, uninstalled, removed game) - Origin opens and activation box. When I click on Steam - same situation.
Confusing situation. Like some kind of (Bermuda) triangle. My game is gone.
