I managed to get it fixed! Very complicated process, but I'll outline it for you all.
Talked to EA support and they were able to remove my Epic Games account from my EA account.
I uninstalled and reinstalled both origin, epic, and battlefront 2
I got Epic support to remove battlefront 2 from my Epic Games library
When everything finished downloading, I launched the game from steam and it worked!
The issue is in linking your origin and epic accounts. Once Epic can no longer interact with Origin, it should be fine.
@ImproperGravity I'll try it too, thx for the help
my friend had a similar solution, but he asked Epic Games Support "TO REMOVE EVERY SINGLE TRACE OF THIS GAME ON MY ACCOUNT"
but it seems your solution is way better

I have never connected epic games to either steam or origin and I'm still getting these issues.
- 5 years ago@ChaoticZyekes the problem is, I also never did, yet for whatever reason, it's connected
- 5 years ago@Stan_Java Yeah, and it sucks especially for people like me who actually paid money for it off of steam and never had epic games installed to begin with.
- grynn5 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@ChaoticZyekes So you don't even have Epic version but you're still getting unidentified game issue on Origin? Or you have another problem?
@grynnThat's correct. I bought it on steam for $20 I think back in mid November. Have not had one issue until Epic games had their giveaway. I haven't had epic games installed or anything since a couple days after satisfactory came out like over a year ago. Still getting the same issues everyone else is getting.
