It might be caused by a gaming overlay. Reports here in the past with similar issues were caused by Discord's Gaming Overlay. If you use Discord, try to disable its gaming overlay and see if this solves your issue.
If it doesn't, or if you don't use discord, check if you have any other type of overlay that appears when you play a game, as overlays may make your control not reach the gaming app you're trying to play. Hope this helps.
