Can't use walkers on new Crait map?

All in the title. Why can't we use the the first order walkers like in every other map like with the MTT and AT-AT.

Already bad enough they are on rails now we can't even use them at all. Very disappointing.

I took a little step back from the game the last couple days to play other games and have only played Crait a couple times.

I thought I saw first order walkers during the initial assault but now that you say something they were behind the fight so now I'm wondering if they were actually being pilots or just a visual prop.

Those speeders were pretty tough to deal with. I spent most of the first part of the match with ion turret and sentry rolling just trying to keep them honest. Would be nice if there were some more tools to deal with them. Maybe I'll try ion shot, would be pretty lol-worthy if they could be taken out with that.

They have the two main walkers to assault the objective but they don't do anything to help the First Order so in a way they are just visual prop becuase theres no option to use them like the AT-ATs on Hoth for example. They have the First Oder AT-STs you can use but the large gorilla walkers you can't at all. They have gorilla walkers in the back round too though but those are just for visuals.

The hit boxes for the speeders are very messed up but I hear they have low health so easy to kill if you can deal with their speed

Oh! I reread your post and now I get what you're saying.

I assumed the gorilla walkers were as pathetic as the AT-AT in terms of weaponry so I didn't even notice you couldn't pilot it.

I thought you were talking about the AT-ST type walkers.
