Hi Everyone,
I managed to fix my issue by going to device manager, and uninstalling/disabling all of my gaming controller related drivers. I'm not quite sure which one was the one causing the issue.

Thanks. This worked for me. I had an older vJoy device controller installed some time ago. Uninstalled driver. Fixed the issue.

I also had a vJoy device installed. Uninstalling it fixed the problem.
The thing is, I had this device installed since day 1 and never had a problem with the game until today.
It would be nice that DICE looks into that problem further.

Unfortunately, this did not work for me, but I did find another solution. I just got off the phone with the good people at Amazon, who really take customer service seriously, and got a full refund for the game. The downside for some other players who would like to use this same solution is that you need to have purchased the game through Amazon. The lovely customer service rep who answered my call on the third ring, told me they have received many complaints about the game and though they did not mention how many refunds they handed out, I would guess many, considering the ease in which they refunded me. Believe it or not I am very disappointed that I won't be playing anymore, I really like what I saw on the few days i was able to play, but I shouldn't have to consistently troubleshoot for two and a half weeks in order to play a couple of days. And not to be rude, but for me, EA_David and this forum has been completely ineffective. I should be playing a game about one my most favorite franchises, not endlessly searching forums re-installing driver after driver, the operating system, the game, origin over and over or changing 0's to 1's in the boot doc every time I run the game. I'll give SWBF2 another look in a couple months when it hits the discount rack, but until then I wish the rest of you a lot of luck and I hope you find the solutions you are looking for. I'd love to hang but I am off to cancel my Origin Access account to make my day complete.

Whenever I enter into a game, my character can only look upwards. However, I'm using a mouse, not a controller.

The error had to do with vJoy on my computer too. I thought I disabled it but in device manager it was under Human Interface Devices rather than USB controllers.
