Character won't stop moving

My question is that after installing the game attempting to repair the download and reinstalling is there a way to stop my character from moving you see it's like I'm always holding down the w key and using my mouse to steer which makes it hard to look around or focus on something because your always moving in that direction?

- My keyboard works fine with all other games

  • I do not work for them, just trying to help.

You could try reassigning that particular key in settings. Then see what happens. If it still does it, EA will have to help. If it seems to work fine, then you should try another keyboard..Reboot after you plug it in.

If the reassigned key works fine, Go back and change it with the new keyboard..
  • This is something I've encountered a few times, but it's related to spawning.  If I'm running and holding down one of my directional keys and I get killed, when I spawn, sometimes it acts like I'm still holding down that button and my character will move in that direction.  I have to tap the key to "clear" it.  Sometimes this has happened with the shift button that I use for running as well, where I can't run until I tap the shift button a couple times.  There have been times when I've spawned and immediately done a combat roll.

  • I was having the same problem. I went into options then reset everything back to DEFAULT.  After that, mouse and keyboard started working normally again.

  • Do you happen to have an input device connected? For example, I have to disconnect my steering wheel from my PC before playing, as it constantly registers as an input. Try disconnecting alternative controllers.
