EA Staff (Retired)Managed to play 4 matches on Geonosis last night. Loved the map. The first objective was maybe a little to easy but the objectives did get harder as you progressed. Movement of the AT-TE was a little wierd at first until I figured it out. All 4 matches were won by the defensive side before the last objective was reached usually by taking out all the AT-TE's. I found the Ion torpedo to be the most effective weapon against them. Generally took about 6 torpedos to wipe one out so get the first 3 in then protect yourself until the torps regen. Couldn't try OBI-Wan as he was always taken. Overall, I think Geonosis favours the defensive side but the gameplay was a lot of fun and the better players will love flanking the enemy.
Vader cannot move people while choking them... another bug to the list
Obi Wan is fun to use but is unfortunately quite buggy. His force push as by now we all know force pushes in the game, has no effect half the time, probably made worse by the rugged terrain on Geonosis. His defensive rush ability is both quite 💩 and a bit buggy, I will see if star cards improve this but atm this ability will pretty much get you killed. Sometimes(I think while certain abilities are active or are activated) his mind trick doesn't effect some enemies. As with all saber heroes he is not immune to the block doing nothing bug where you need to go and deplete your stamina in order to fix it. Obviously as with all emotes they are a bit hit and miss in terms of them working, oh and sometimes he says one that's not equipped. I'm also finding that on occasions I'm having to double tap in order to activate his abilities, mostly with mind trick.
Take back about what I said in a prior post that Geonosis favours the defensive team. Just played a couple more rounds and the attacking side won 2 out of 4. So I think it just depends on the equality of the teams.
