Community Transmission - Matchmaking

Installed the update tonight. The following is my experience so far.

PING SITE: Have played this game since the start and only once have I had to try more than a couple of minutes to get a game in GA and that was when the ping site problem first occurred. Tonight, It took me an hour. My many attempts took me to near empty lobbies on Kashyyyk. In the end I waited for those lobbies to fill enough to start a game. Eventually that happened and away we went. To be fair, the delay may be due to everyone updating the game. Time will tell on this one.

MATCHMAKING: I was going to complain about this not working, then I read your post again which stated it wouldn't be immediately active so my complaint may be irrelevant to this. I will wait for a few days then give my opinion if necessary. Tonight the matchmaking was so one sided, the games were over in a few minutes and it didn't change the next round or map.

SQUAD PLAY: There is a danger in this whereby you might alienate a portion of the players. For the first time ever, I got frustrated with the game and quit GA a lot earlier than usual. I know it is early after the update and I certainly will give it another try but my main frustration was born out of the amount of times I respawned and was immediately killed. Usually by a group of players. I am an older person and normally play this game as loner who tries to help the whole team not a 4 player squad, so I am not used to playing in a small group. I used the new system of spawning with others but ended up going back to default selection as when I chose to spawn with another, they were getting eliminated as fast as I was selecting them and when I did spawn with a trooper, I was always caught in the crossfire. In the main, I have always been an average player usually somewhere around the top 20  on the scoresheet. Tonight I was a novice spending most of the time in the bottom 4. I know a lot of people will tell me that I have to learn how to play in a group but at my age friends who play online games is virtually non-existent so I can't form my own group making it more likely that I would end up in random squads who have different methods of achieving their goals.

Maybe when the matchmaking becomes active, some of my frustration will disappear - I hope so.

Whilst I am writing this post, I keep forgetting to mention a little bug I have come across on Kashyyyk. When using and exiting the MTT, the reticule from the MTT stays with the player and forms around his blaster reticule. Not a problem play wise, just a glitch.
