@EA_Atic yes, tried with both controllers. Both are official Xbox controllers. And tried wired and wireless connection.
Again, no problems with any other games, including other EA games. Just this one.

Thanks! @ethayne
hmm, just for the sake of it, try another HDMI cable or TV to try the Xbox on?

Hi @EA_Atic
I have this problem also, and I just read a thread on Reddit where a bunch of users are also experiencing the same issue, a simple Google Search will reveal it. It is not an issue on other games, it is only Battlefront 2, I even downloaded Battlefront I over the weekend to test and did not have the problem. For reference, this is the Downloaded edition, not Disc. Samsung 65" QLED with Gaming mode enabled. Tried HDMI direct to TV and via Receiver. Tried different HDMI. Tried different Input.
It happens on all controllers, all game types, mostly on Local Co-Op/Versus (but that is also mostly what we play. Sometimes its lag/delayed movement, sometimes I'll move the stick a little and it will do a 180, its almost unplayable. Playing against the kids is fine, as it doesn't really matter, but we can't play online or will get slaughtered.
As an AV Technician, I don't believe it is the HDMI cable. It is local to the game, not the connected equipment. There is an issue here which needs to be investigated and resolved, otherwise I'm going back to Destiny.
