Corrupted save files
Today when I went online to play Battlefront II, I received a notification about how my save files became corrupted and that I need to overwrite them, I would like to know if there is an alternative to this because I do not intend to lose the amount of progress and time I put into this to just be wasted. I had pre-ordered the game and I really do not want to lose anything now. I hope this can be helped.

You shouldn't worry about the loss of your progression 🙂 It's not possible to overwrite the progress, which is not locally saved on your device - this includes your level, unlocked Star Cards, cosmetic items, etc. However, by overwriting the save files you're risking loosing the Arcade progression and local settings like the placement of your Star Cards.
Tl;dr - your multiplayer progression is completely safe 😉
Generally, I would recommend to overwrite the save files if it prevents you from playing the game.
