Crashing and lag

Hey @justin-marks92  what region are you in and have you had a look on our network guide for the lag. 

For the crashing could you try to power cycle the console the xbox. 

Power cycle: 

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
   Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn it on.

Hey I’m in Australia, Victoria.

yeah I’ve tried all the fixes however I still get the lag consistently. Those that I play with also experience these problems, we’ve all gone through the fixes.

i found after some research that the full shut down is consistent with Xbox one x consoles. It comes up with an over heat message or lacking ventilation but it’s in the open and I’ve cleaned it a lot. It’s also the only game it happens to :/

For the lag I assume there is no network warning in the corner? 

For the overheating message I recommend that you reach out to Xbox support and lets see if they can help you out with that.

I always have a low internet connection in the corner. That never changes, sometimes dips into the low 2 red bars but everyone I know experiences this every game regardless of their internet speeds or even whether it is wired or not :/

I'll reach out to Xbox support. I do acknowledge though of course that it seems to be a common issue for the Xbox One X consoles. I just hope I don't need to send it off for a fix then for it to continue when its gone. My friends xbox one x has started having the same issue after downloading it the game the other day so I will update here if xbox have a fix 🙂

Hey there, just an update. Have used my friends Xbox one x (one month old) 5 games in it sadly crashed to overheating, my brothers one was the luckiest with a solid 12 game’s with horrendous lag, then it “overheated” again. I’m very reluctant to get my Xbox one x replaced for one game to work. I honestly think it’s the game itself, it’s the only game I have these issues with. I play sea of thieves for hours on end yet two matches in and the console has a heart attack.
