Your issue seems more related to a stable factory overclock on your card, not the same as the random crashing that most people are getting. If removing the factory overclock fixes your problem, then I would be contacting EVGA.

You should also note than many others with even brand new best of the best ASIC quality 1080Tis with no overclocks are having to downclock the card by anywhere from 50-200mhz on the core and sometimes the memory as well, for this game and this game only.
Don't even try to tell me that manufacturers are selling cards that push over £1000 retail with unstable overclocks when the chips ASIC quality is higher than any other card sold on the market.
Read about someone who tried 3 different GTX 1080 GPUs, had to downclock all 3, RMA'd them and the replacements were exactly the same. But had no issues with any other games.
