Ok that would be strange though since the crystals were bought with real money.

I'd never ever buy crystals with real money if I knew they were only for bragging rights.

It is sus.

Probably a lot of people didn't like in-app purchasing in a paid game.

so, they made everything earned through playing the game instead of crystals.

the crystals are just left over
