This happens since the last patch, but seems to happen more in this new 1.2 patch. It can be fixed without dying by letting yourself be affected by any paralyzing/stunning/knocking enemy ability. So just hope for Luke's Push or Repulse, a close Detonite from Solo, Chewie's Slam or Shock Grenade, Lando's Shock, Rey's Dash Strike, Yoda's Push. If they simply attack you, you're doomed.

I noticed that exact same bug too on Xbox One, plus I noticed it happens a lot for me when I use choke while in that air, so maybe for now not jumping might help. Haven't confirmed it though

This is a known issue, but it is unknown if recognized by EA developers, team leads, project managers, etc.. so it may continue or not, only EA knows.

This bug still exists. Today I played a match of heroes versus villains and used the choke ability as Darth Vader and I got stuck in the animation. One time I did not get stuck in the animation, but the choking sound continued after the ability was used and was present until I died and respawned. That one time it was actually possible to attack and use the other abilities, so this bug has more characeristics to it.

It's still an issue now. I'm experiencing it now straight after the recent patch was released. Some of my freinds are also dealing with this too. Can someone get this info to Dice please?
