When activated, the animations all happen properly, however within less than a second of activation, your choked enemies will drop and be free to attack you while you're stuck in the choke animation. Since the brilliant decision to get rid of his damage reduction during the animation was made, this leaves Vader unbelievably vulnerable and renders his iconic Force power almost completely useless. I would say "completely useless," but it will still do damage to whoever gets caught initially. What do you expect to see? @RogueZeroRendar I don't know...this seems like something new, or at least a little different. I'm familiar with the previous issues with the ability. I was only tapping the button once to initiate the choke, and it would grab the opponents and lift them, but then they would almost instantly drop and start blasting away while I was stuck in the animation for the duration, essentially making the "combo" impossible to pull off.

How I describe it is that the choke lasts about 0.8 seconds less, yet I am stuck in the choke animation while my enemies regain their stature. His star card to extend choke time seems to exacerbate this problem.This is all new since a recent update.Normally when I choke them, I could then leap up as I throw my lightsaber and then slash them as I come down. Sometimes behind them. I was pro.I exclusively play hero showdown.

Vader's choke is an absolute mess tbh X"D* I've had issues with the choke simply not working, with no explanation, when two enemies are halfway through an attacking animation (hence not blocking)...* Enemy players not being registered as "in range" because they're like an inch higher up on bumpy terrain (I know Anakin/ Vader's weakness is the High Ground, but come on!). It's not that difficult to resolve, just use a trigger box instead of ray-casting .__.* Enemy players aren't registered as "in range" when they're directly in front of Vader (same happen's with Maul's choke). Again, this just seems like a ray-casting .__. issue ...*The choking animation players for second and then ends, like you said, so Vader gets stuck in the choke animation and then just gets helplessly beaten down by the opposition...I used to own everyone when playing as Vader but so many of the abilities are O.P now that Vader is just too buggy to ensure fair play. It definitely needs sorting.

I have the same issue with Vader.It happens almost every session.

For me there's a lot of abiltiies that bug out and don't work (mainly saber characters) when they should and it's definitely not just Vader's choke. I also think it's mainly down to input lag causing most these issues as sometimes an ability will work and sometimes it won't

Choke ending prematurely, and Vader staying in Choke Stance after it's done? It could be both the choke ending prematurely issue + Eternal Choke Stance BUG. Or it's something new.
The premature one is usually associated with multiple taps of the Choke Button (as pressing the button after the ability started will cancel it) or holding the button, both cancel the choke early.
The stance one has its triggers still unknown, but has been in the game from day 1 and has never been solved.
I'll take a look on Vader's Choke next time I can do some testing.

I had time to play a bit and I went with Vader, and it has also happened to me. I'm sure I wasn't holding the button nor tapping it more then once, but the choke ended prematurely. However, I was free of the stance, so I could act freely. It only happened once in the match, in the first choke, all other chokes were normal.
It was different from yours though.
Are you sure another thing didn't free them like a stagger or someone else's ability? Was it everytime you used choke?

@RogueZeroRendar Yeah it was every time I used it last night. I'll play around with it again today and see if it continues. It's entirely possible that it's lag related; my connection was acting a bit wonky yesterday.

I remember when the worst day the Stuck Choke Stance BUG affected me my game felt pretty laggy. Good to know you also felt that when this BUG occurred. I wish this info could be useful to devs.

Ok so I played a few rounds with Vader and made sure that I "tapped" the button and only had the problem happen once in roughly 4 games.
Maybe a combination of input and network/server lag?
I don't know...you're much better at the technical aspects than I.
I've long believed that many of the issues in-game have more to do with the servers than problems with the actual game code.

Ultimately, even server issues are code issues. These can be manipulated to a certain extent, but many times some issues are inevitable if we want to have a feature in our game.
I always felt this stuck choke stance bug had something in its trigger that is related to lag. But there are many kinds of lag, so this by utself doesn't say much. The match I had that it happened several times I remeber to feel some kind of input lag, definetly not high ping or unstable ping, it was different from the so common experience with those two.
Yet this bug has stopped happening to me. I admit I have played a lot less with Vader, but since I don't know, maybe May 2018, I don't think it happened even once. But other have reported this bug tome and time again since then until now.
BTW, has this single time the bug happened in the course of your 4 matches, did it happen exactly like you described? The choke ended early and you stood stuck in the choke stance? Or was just one of those alone?

@RogueZeroRendar Yeah, when it did happen, it was just like before: trigger the ability, lift opponents, they fall and start blasting me and I'm stuck in the animation.
