Dear EA, Dice and Criterion, Thank You...

First off all, I want to thank you all for this great and beautiful game. Me and my son are having great time since the release of the game (comes with complaints from my wife). To state a point, we are not very competitive players. I’ve been following the forums, mostly the complaints, and felt an urge to write this message to you.

It is true that the game had/has some serious issues. The biggest problem was the pay to win system in which one was able to buy crystals to buy in-game crates, which enabled them to upgrade their troopers/heroes, literally with money. So we thank you for realizing your mistake and closing the crystal purchases. That said, we really like the new progression system through loot crates. It is something different from other shooters. It was confusing at the begining to understand how it works. But once we got the hang of it, it is really entertaining. People are complaining about its randomness or about it not reflecting the real progress of players. But this is not true. As you play, you earn credits and open crates; as you complete challenges you earn credits, crafting parts, crystals, and crates themselves. Each crate you open gives you cards, which increases the level of your character. So it is basically an intriguing and solid progress system, something new and different. Maybe its why this system receives so much criticism, people do not understand it in its entirety. By the way, we are having a lot of fun opening crates, please do not change it.

As I said, we are not very competive players but we already got all our trooper classes and Kylo to level 15+, unlocked Luke and Darth Vader. So we are happy with the correlation between ingame rewards and progression, as it is. Though we wish for more rare cards in the crates J (its human nature)

However the game has some serious technical issues. One of them is the Error Code 327. Lots of players using various platforms are receiving this error message. For me it happens when I exit a multiplayer mode, though my connection to servers is intact and does not prevent me to play another MP game. But I heard that some players can not connect to servers and play the game after receiving this error. You have to patch it as soon as possible.

Second one is the stuttering/lagging/frame rate drops in multiplayer game. It happens a lot. Either your servers are inadequate to respond to heavy traffic or there is something wrong with the game code that it can not cope with the amount of data traffic. You have to fix this as soon as possible. Its irritating and killing the fun of the game; and thats why we play, for the fun.

There are various other technical issues and community is voicing them in relevant forums. I believe these will be fixed in time. Please keep reading the forums and listening to your customers.

Again, thanks for this marvellous game.

I can't even play multiplayer. I get error 327 and dropped before even connecting. Been trying for 3 days now and have done all that I can on my end.

Just be aware the micro-transactions are only temporary disabled and are planned to come back at a later date.

Also I wouldn't be so quick to assume they are actually listening to the players or even care. A big part of them making the decision to pull micro-transactions probably was because Disney told them too especially with the gambling (which it is). The loot boxes are there to milk you for money not really made for a fun experience but hey good for you if you enjoy that because I certainly don't.

I was considering writing a similar post until the severe performance issues many are experiencing started occuring. But either way I think Dice and Criterion did a great job at bringing the galaxy to life and hope that continued efforts to improve aren't hampered or discouraged by the intense negativity being perpetuated by the very vocal community.
