Devastated

I am not sure if it happened when I made a shortcut to the game or when I got mods (I don’t normally play with mods but I’ve played with them before and this didn’t happen) I got back on my game (by accident) and when it finally loaded all of my progress was gone. My characters aren’t there anymore, nor are my houses. What do I do?
