They already stated that they won't have as much destruction as Battlefield 1 and 4 or if even at all.
They said so,it's because star wars was not made upon destruction.
When you see a starwars fight,on the walls,it ends up grazing them or burning them with plasma bolts
Adrian strikes a good point. Not only are the weapons completely different it would probably also make the maps way less nostalgic/defining as you'd want from a Starwars map. World war one was all about the gritty and destruction and trenches where Star wars is about living the fantasy of the Star wars universe. Although some stuff could be potentially destructable I don't think we'll see any on the scale of BF one.

- Distraction does not mean to leave the fantasy world and make less nostalgic,
If we follow the movies of the clone era we see lots of distraction,
I remember in clones war the finall scene when they destroy the droid ships it can be great map with distractions and post effect like we have in bf4 when the map cover with dust.
I think it will just improve the game experience. - EgoMania8 years agoSeasoned Ace

You beat me to that comment - that's exactly what I wanted to say. Then again there's not too much information regarding this yet, since there was only one playable map at EA Play yet, and that was also a pre-alpha build... which looked and played pretty badass.
