Try out this troubleshooting list I put together 🙂 for pc

*specifically - during the redownload, play the arcade mode for a few minutes, or at least launch it. I think that helps sometimes. The other fixes are moving the documents folder, then on from there. all in the list link above.

I also wasn't able to launch during download either.

After the install finishes;
Move the "STAR WARS Battlefront II" folder from "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II", to the desktop (Uninstall, doesn't remove the folder).
then run the repair tool (via the gear/cog icon in origin, on the bf2 screen. After the repair finishes reboot and try it.
After that, if the issue isn't related to Direct X (make sure you have done all windows updates), I would check #2A 2B in the fix list link below.
