Dream Star Wars Game

This is my dream come true of a Star Wars game. The SWBF II and FO have great graphics , but theres something i miss in this games. Freedom , realistic approach towards gameplay etc.

So :

- kind of RPG style ---> weapons , clothes , outfits , ships etc.

- realisticity , realistic approach ---> You cannot choose who you want to be ( sith , jedi , trooper etc ) , but instead you are being BORN on RANDOM planet , being RANDOM race , and the path you choose , you will have to work hard for it ( i guess except for smuggler or some pirate , outlaw ). If people had a choice , most likely  90% of them would  choose Sith or Bounty Hunter.

You would have small chance for being chosen as a e.g. trooper for the Empire / whatever "Empire" is ruling in the era you have been born , because the 4-6  ep Empire & 7-9 ep First Order has been "stealing" kids from the families so that they will become troops.

- The personality traits , abilities , weaknessess , strengths or your how strong you are in the Force will also be RANDOM. You wont have a kind of stattistics or some kind of information about in what are you good at , instead , you will have to discover it through your life , e.g. if you are strong in the Force , you will probably realise using the Force will be easier for you ( your character ) than in the case of other players ( their characters ) , or that you are often using it unintentionally.

If you have shown a power in the Force , you will have a chance every X time for someone to realise it and have a chance to become a Jedi or a Sith. You will have to attend to Academy , train etc. The X time can be once a "year" , "month" , "few years" etc.

- The "year" in the game wont really be a "year" in real life ( i know its surprising ) , but we would like the 1 "year" to be as long as possible for players to have time to "upgrade" , get to know with something they have learned during this time , but not too long so players wont actually get bored waiting for the year to pass.

- Open World ---> probably the hardest of all. However , i do not think the ability to be in your ship during travelling from one planet / location to the other is very necessary , so we could have just a loading screen or something. The varity of planets is essential , and the planets we havent seen so often or the comic-ones are welcome.

- The realistic kind-of approach i would like to see , is that we wont get a kind of HUD or stuff like that , but actually how we view it in REAL LIFE , so e.g. checking our inventory could be done by using a kind of console or just looking in backpack / chest / any storage unit , but the outline and name of things we collected when we look at them could be enabled / disabled in the settings

- The main theme of this game would be just like a REAL LIFE , very realistic approach

- As previously said , you will be born RANDOM race , on RANDOM PLANET , but also in RANDOM VILLAGE / CITY. As a kid / teen / juvenile etc. you would be able to actually walk around your city / village etc. , interact with NPCs , animals , hunt them , go fishing ( if possible ). You would be able to skin ( if possible ) the animal , harvest the meat , organs , bones ( etc ) and if it having any value , sell it / eat / preserve.

- You / your house / your village could be robbed / attacked by someone or a group of people , like we've seen in S01E04 a grouod of Invaders and AT-ST attacked the villag , but the existence of neighbouring outlaws / gangs / invaders must be fulfilled. The Empire attacking your city / village could also be possible , like we've seen in SW : TFO , but the villagers / city inhabitants would have to , in any way , rebel against ruling Empire or have rebels discovered in this location. With a small chance , but still.

- Not suprisingly , some races would have a better chance for survival than others. Living in a city will give you more chance to develop in the ways of "business" , diplomacy , economy and just a chance for survival , but village / more nature-friendly living place will give you more chance ( in some way , because of the peaceful environment and nature) of developing in the ways of the Force , hunting , killing , surviving on your own trading of nature-origined items.

Skills like ship repairing , lightsaber / weapons training , the Force ( a Temple with a Jedis that can help you with the ways of the Force and lightsaber training , both in village located in nature and in city , but on one hand natural environment = peace and on the other hand city = higher chance for a Temple ) arent really assigned to any of the previously said living locations

- You would have to inherit or buy the equipment , ship , vehicles in order to leave the planet ( except for being chosen for Sith / Jedi / Soldier training ) or move from one place to another on the surface of the planet ( you can go by foot , by longer distaces would take very long time ) ***

- Exploration ---> ruins , cities , villages ---> the ruins would be explorable , you would have a chance of finding some items , like ripped clothes , treasures ( often buried a little in the sand / dirt ) , some puzzles , parkour  ---> in case of cities / villages , you could interact with NPCs , trade with them , maybe have a chance to check out gangs ***

- Environment ---> stuff like a dust , sand ( e.g. in ruins , sand planets ) , rain ( on tropical / other planets ) , snow ( on snow / frozen planets ) and other things will surely make a game much more prettier and realistic ***

- Food & Drinks ---> the cantinas ( in cities , villages , aboard Ships ) , bars , the ability to eat what you hunted ( an animal in the wild ) ***

- Building  ---> ! ! !  THIS IS OPTIONAL , THOUGH IT WOULD BE COOL  ! ! ! Using the machines to create fundaments , walls etc ***

- Crafting ---> There could be some kind of a crafting station , one for tools , one for building stuff , one for blasters / weapons. ***

- Jobs --> Industry Jobs , Trading and Diplomacy Jobs , Barman , Police , Trader , ... ***

- Fightning ---> realistic health amount , one shot to the head with any blaster / weapon should kill you , depending on the armor / clothes you have , it will be variable how many shots you can take in body . HOWEVER ,  depending on if you had learned how to roll , sprint quickly , you will have a better chance of dodging the shots. The shots WILL NEVER hit in the place you are pointing , except for snipers and other weapons that use scope. They will always hit in the place near where you have been pointing , so that shooting in the opponent's head wont be that easy ( pistols , blasters without scope or when not using the scope ). The recoil should be realistic and made in a way , so that its not that easy to shoot someone , especially in the head or weak spots. ***

- GORE ---> Stuff like a whole in your body , missing part of arm , leg or head , blood , guts in my opinion SHOULD be a thing in game like this. Since its supposed to be a REALISTIC game , it should be realistic in every way possible

- Industry ---> machines , factories , blacksmiths ( like in Mandalorian , the smith that forged an armor out of beskar ) ***

- Factions --> Outlaws , Citizen , Diplomacy Jobs , Traders , All Races ( they're being considered faction , because you can have a good / bad relations with certain race ) , and hidden non-confirmed on certain planet / planetary system ---> Mandalorian , Sith , Jedi ***

- In order to join a Faction e.g. like Mandalorian , you would have to commit yourself to their cullture ( most likely few years or huge part of your life ) , find a actual Mandalorian and be lucky to become one. ***

OVERALL , THE MAIN THEME IS REALISTIC APPROACH.

*** - its not finished / i will probably add something to it

Let me know what you guys think , I will most likely add some things or change them. I know its super ambitious , but thats just what i would love to get , I buy it no matter the price ( not literally , but you know what i mean ;p )

PEACE    ;~~~~~DDDDDDDD

  • @majjuus no hud wouldnt make sense , so instead in 3rd person have a stamina ( works also as force bar , more you use the force the more stamina u lose ) and hp bar , in 1st person have the same bars OR have a holo projection on the communication kind of disk ( in TROS ) with the info about your hp and stamina
  • @majjuus This is actually great, if this became a game I would buy as soon as I could and probably not leave my house for a few weeks.

Gosh , I have a feeling i cannot fully show you guys how the game should look like , even if i said like 5 times that the main theme of the game is REALISTIC APPROACH & REAL LIFE.

I hope all of you get what im saying. The game is supposed to make you feel the world in the game is your ACTUAL REAL LIFE , except its STAR WARS. This game should REPRESENT the real life. I loved how the Mandalorian has showns us more smuggler / bountyhunter-ish side of Star Wars - what the world looks like from the view other than Sith and Jedi.

This is what I came up with during this time :

    - No inventory HUD could also potentially be a little confusing , but players would be able to turn on / off this option in settings if they want more realistic experience ( the outline of the items in any cargo unit such as inventory , chest etc could also be turned on / off )

    - The Name , stats such as hp and stamina of enemies could also be turned on / off

    - The main theme of the game are also ;

No default enemies , e.g. if you are a sith , anyone can pose a threat to you , sith , jedi , smugglers , regular citizen. When you come across a citizen when exploring / just going out in the city ( or wherever you are ) they may have certain attitude ( it would be random - aggressive , passive , cowardly , peaceful , etc ) so you cannot be sure if they wont try to shoot you / kill / mug .

    - The path you actually take , whatever that is , smuggler , corsair , thief , Bounty Hunter , gang member , Cantina Barman , as said , you will have to gain opportunity or just become one. The choice you have in games of what role you want to take is too easy , thus the game is less engaging and challenging. E.g. to "become" bounty hunter you would have to look after an opportunity for bounty contracts , from gangs or some individuals , if you complete it you will have probably gained their trust and be paid , in some sort.

    - Rewards and prizes you get from bounty contracts / any mission heavily depends on who you took the misison from. If they are smugglers / gang / Hutts , you will most likely get credits , weapons , weapon modifications etc.

    - The Exploring & Scavenging - what also inspired me and got me excited is the kind of role the Rey in TFO took : scavenger. We can also see this "profession" in SWTOR as a crew skill ( similar to it is Slicing , Bioanalysis and Archeology ). The wrecks of ships that have fallen on the surface of the planet , Temples / Ships / Cities / Villages ruins WILL certainly contain some items , more or less valuable. E.g. if you were lucky to come across a non-functional droid , you will be able to scavenge him the moment you find him or bring him aboard your ship , cut off some valuable parts like microprocessor ( or whatever that has the function of it ) , or bigger parts like head , limbs easily. If you would want to do it all by yourself , you should be equipped with a certain plasma cutter / regular cutter or have a kind of station aboard your ship which would have this function , bring it in certain locations in cities , villages etc OR even try to make him functional. This would depend on your RANDOMLY assigned ( at birth ) talents in e.g electronic /  manual work  and your skills that you learned during your life. It would also depend on how badly the droid is destroyed. If its just turned off , technically no skills / talents required to turn him on. Professions of the droid -> protocol , combat , medical etc. If you were talented and / or  skilled enough , you would be able to repogramm him to suit your personal needs. Of course you wouldnt really be able to reprogramm protocol droid to fight for you , at least technically. You would be able to modify , upgrade , enhance the droid with the metals , alloys , droid parts , weapons and electornics you found / bought / scavenged.

    - The Names - weapons , droids / metals , alloys , npcs would have a name that is assigned to them in Star Wars universe - i do not really like the idea of naming e.g. certain blaster Accurate Boltblaster's ... , but actually a name , so the blaster the Imperials were using in 4-6th of Star Wars was called E-11. If you were lucky to find / buy it , it should be called E-11.

    - The Knowledge -->

If you come across a citizen / any npc you havent seen / got to know to , you wont see nor ( if the dialogues / npcs hp and stamina HUD is turned off ) know their name.

If you would want to go explore and scavenge certain locations , you should firstly learn which metals , alloys , mechanical and electronic parts or just loot you find is valuable.

You wont know if the droid part that looks like eggplant is worth anything. This can be done by talking with certain professions like blacksmith , gang members ( the professions which make use of the loot you find ) or with currently rulng Empires / Republic / anything similar.

    - Ship --> if you land on the planet , maybe in a location like a village or city ( Mos Eisley , Coruscant - whatever ) you wouldnt spawn outside your ship , but actually inside it. You would be able to do whatever you want aboard this ship , sleep , sit , look at the sky , eat , craft , modify weapons , talk with droids / any companions you have etc. WHATEVER you can.

You would be able to ( no cutscenes , or loading screens ) open the ship's hatch / door and walk out , while simultaneously look at the environment you are in - city , citizens , buildings , nature etc.

" I have finally arrived at my designated destination - the Moon of Endor. One can safely say - a imperial graveyard. From cockpit I am able to look at evergreen , high up to the sky trees. The ship slowly descends on the muddy and grassy surface. Before I open the hatch , I am preparing myself - filling munitions , packing food and necessery tools to a little pouch I hang over my shoulder. I walk up to the ramp. At the look of silver button on the right of the hatch , I sighed. I have heard stories about this planet , but I've never seen with my own eyes the nature of this place. The hatch opens , and I immidiately felt the warm , strong rush of air. As I slowly go down the ramp , I realised I have landed on huge meadow. I admired the beauty of surrounding environment , the vivid colours and warm , sunny but a bit cloudy weather. I quickly shook myself off and focused on the given objective.

    - I will find some time when I'm done. - I whispered hopefully. "

A kind of Mandalorian-episode-opening I came up with , a bit inspired by Lords of The Sith book. It in a way represents how the game I would like to look like - freedom aboard your ship , open-world , inventory & realistic interactions. Doesnt of course fully show , that would be a little longer than that.

    Hope you enjoy   !    <3   <3   <3

  • Also    :

    - DIalogues --> probably similar to what we have in SWTOR , but better animations , more choices and most importantly - your answers in any "stage" , "phase" in dialogue arent the only ones that represent the same "way of thinking" / "choice" you've made in earlier stages of the same dialogue , and more freedom in what path you take , e.g. ( as seen in SWTOR Vanguard Story ) even if you are a part of certain group and you see this group beggining to be "bad guys" , deceiving you etc , you will be able to join them. That wasnt the case in this Story Arc , when the Havoc Squad has turned against the REpublic to join the Empire , but you werent able to join them. This kind of choices would completely change your story and make game FAR more excieting , since you are about to live in completely opposing environment - in this case , it would be Sith Empire.

  • Also :

    - When about to enter the dialogue or certain action , you can take a certain pose and attitude towards the npc , depenedant on player's choice. WHILE entering the dialogue , there will be a animation , you will be able , by certain keys on your keyboard , take a certain pose , e.g. stand slightly turned to the left / right to NPC , draw air in the lungs to appear more intimidating ( it can affect the NPC's attitude and mood ). You will be able to stand straight , but have your character  hide the blaster behind their back , so that the NPC cannot see it. You will be able to manipulate how much the weapon youre holding is hidden OR exposed to the NPC. If the player sees the NPC doing the same thing or being aggresive , the player will be able to completely expose the hidden weapon and intimidate the NPC , while still being able to make choices and talk with NPC. This will also affect NPC's attitude and mood.

Player will be able to draw weapon before and / or while the dialogue animation is happening.

  • @majjuus I like your ideas; I want this so much. Perfect for the next-gen consoles. I’m a sucker for customization and this game, if it comes to, will be perfect

Add VR support and it’ll be a winner
