Thank you for the posts and videos, they're very helpful.
If anyone consistently gets this, can you try playing a match after opening the crate, then check if the missing credits backfill?
I suspect that this is what's happening and a few confirmations or denials of this would be very helpful with investigating.
If playing a match has no effect, please PM me your gamertag and the time you opened the crate, including timezone.

I opened crates every day Since launch- Anonymous8 years ago
Yep, they definitely don't backfill. I've also been having the same issue since launch. Foolishly, the lure of opening new crates has always overcome my logic, and even though I knew I'd be losing out on 'duplicate card credits' and 'crafting parts', I'd still want to spent credits earned during matches on more crates immediately. Unfortunately this means I've missed out on thousands of credits and hundreds of crafting parts.

@JaegerBomb777 Hey, it looks like the missing crafting parts is a display issue. Looking into the videos reporting this the affected players seem to get duplicate parts and then these duplicates are removed. Confusing for sure, but the end balance seems to be correct.
As for the missing credits, can you PM me your console/origin account name and a time (with region) for the last pack you got which had duplicates?
Thank you.

Me to not back filling at all. I have had this game since day 1 that it came out and never received the credits.
- 8 years agoPetey_03 ps4 1:50 est. I’ve been asking about this issue for weeks now. I just did as you requested, played a match after opening a crate. Started with 50,655 in credits, got 800 in duplicates. Then a got 375 for match credit. Left game to main screen and had 51,030 credits. 800 still missing. Even closed game and restarted ps4. MANY missed credits. Please help.
- 8 years agoAlso if you pay attention you might notice you’re getting star cards you already have. They say new but they’re duplicates. Tier 2/3 cards is where I see it happening. I only noticed because I have so many already upgraded. That’s 400/800 each time it happens.
- Anonymous8 years agoIm eastern time...i have a video of the problem. Not sure how to get it to you but recorded under tag xblowphishx

@xBLOWPHISHx Is that an Xbox ID? If so I can help you out. Just share the video via message to me Paodok and I will download the video and upload it to YouTube for you.

- 8 years agoNope, credits don't backfill. When I DO get 200 credits, for one card (bc that's all I ever get) whatever the amount is, is instantly taken away when i back out of loot box screen. 800-1000 credits per box, 0 awarded with EVERY box.
- Anonymous8 years agoYeah, same here. I'm honestly not sure why I keep bothering with this.
Keep trying the same thing and expecting different results.. isn't that the definition of insanity or something? Lol I think it might be time to move on to a new game or something.- 8 years agoIf there was some patch today, it didn't fix the problem. Still didn't get any credits for duplicates today, plus definitely no backfill of missing credits.
- Anonymous7 years agoI play 5 to 8 hours daily/nightly and there has never been any backfill after any matches gamer tag wun lump monk also my issue started Feb 22 2018 after the new patch that promised it was fixed
- Anonymous7 years ago
Here is the issue I see. When I am playing I still see a lot of 0-3 leveled players. Not nearly as many purple players. What incentive to fix this quickly do they have if the number of people buying the game is out pacing the number of people leaving.
As much as I would hope this issue is on the front burner, I have to remind myself that this is a 3 and 1/2 month old issue now and the response so far is to give me a 4k credit crate.
If I didn't enjoy just playing the Interceptor so much I would have walked away from the game weeks ago. Walking away is still an option.

Let us hope yet another Star Wars online franchise doesn't flush itself down the toilet. If anybody on a decision making level should still be stupid enough to respond to problems from the player base with "It's just a very small, very vocal minority.", they are definitely in the wrong position. As a rule of thumb for ever customer voicing their issues there are usually up to 10 silent customers feeling the same but not voicing it aloud. So if 2% of the player base are complaining, probably 20% are thinking the same.
And while we're looking at "history":
EA took over the Mass Effect franchise and every fan of Mass Effect will probably remember the inglorious end the series took with Mass Effect 3. Bioware then tried and failed to relaunch with Mass Effect Andromeda and I saw that particular game being sold for about 10 US$ on the special EA sales day a few days ago. There will probably be no further game taking place in the Mass Effect universe in the future ever, because no gamer will put any trust or money into that franchise any more.Which is sad, because the first Mass Effect was groundbreaking back then and the ME3 Multiplayer was tons of fun and there was plenty of potential to build upon that in the futer. But one should hope that EA has learned from their mistakes and will not repeat them with Battlefront II by ignoring a problem with a central part of the game for too long.

While it is a possibility that they could "lose" the data and we would be screwed, I find it more likely that the progression system update could create a scenario where the backlog credits aren't as valuable as they are to us right now. If they update the progression to include higher credit payouts from matches/arcade, or make certain unlockables and/or crates more expensive, that decreases our buying power. I can't imagine them making things more expensive right now though, as the complaints are generally that everything takes too long. I could see them lowering the price of crates again (maybe making them all 2,200?), increasing payouts per match to around 500 credits and increasing the per match payouts for arcade. Those steps would make sense (to me) but who knows what we'll actually get.
- Anonymous7 years ago
Who knows? Maybe in fourteen days more or less, regardless I would have to disagree.
I have already worked just as hard as any other player, with one game breaking exception that "they" were given credits accordingly and I rather "WE" were not. So while "they" the players who do not have this occurring, advance with the funds that we have not received.
I think of this as simple economics. It is already an unfair advantage, and if that is wiped clean, I cannot see any point to continuing.
- 7 years agoI have not received credits for duplicates since January 1st. Today is March 20th. I have contacted ea and I I was, told is it is being looked into. With new system coming tomorrow, how will I be "retroactively" compensated for the lack of crafting parts I have missed out on. My star cards should all be levels higher than they are. I've probably list out on 5000 crafting parts. Thats ALOT!!! enough to craft a lot of epic cards. Please HELP!!!
