@K_Nastee_K We've been trying to find out if anything can be done for those affected by this, but I have no info right now, sorry.

Just logged on to Star Wars got a handle full of crates with roughly 10000 credits in. That's nothing compared to how much it owes me. Tried to play a match nothing. Tried to upgrade a card screen frozen. It's going well so far.

Only had enough time this morning to download the patch and login to check the issue. Looks like I SEVERELY underestimated the amount of backlog credits I was owed. My initial estimate was 50-60K. Saw 11 crates when I logged in, by the time I was done opening I was up more than 140K. Really would have been nice to have those yesterday as I had to make some tough choices about which cards to unlock/upgrade before the patch dropped. If I would have had these prior, I would have had everything unlocked and quite a bit more CP sitting in reserve.
Main point of the thread has been resolved for me now though, it appears that I have received my duplicate credit back log. I'll keep an eye out over the next few days to see what their thoughts are regarding our experience and whether or not we will receive any bonus compensation.

just checking in with a total.
169,000 in duplicate awards.
You might immediately say "but that doesn't divide by 300" but I know I had some duplicate guns that said 200 for dups, so it's probably right.
Seems my old estimate was a bit low.
So now the trouble is how do you convert that to other compensation?
Those would have been 169 skill points worth of parts if I'd opened them yesterday. (and just to state it again, the devs view a crate for a skill point and a crate for 1k credits as equivalent.)
But how do you compare 6760 parts spread over the past months of the bug? If this had been fixed two months ago, would I have gotten around to spending 480 making my officer's Resourceful card Epic? I'm out the level from that, and have to grind 6 more levels to get permission to upgrade it even they decide to give me 12 skill points compensation.
How do you compensate for levels gating cards we should have been able to buy? I'm not irrational enough to expect 169 level boosts from my credits. But it's not merely 1 level per 12k credits, either, because I might have made rare or uncommon upgrades if I had those 6760 parts.
Maybe good compensation is a "go up a level" token for every 4400 delayed credits? so figure over those months we missed a new card - directly or by accumulating parts - in every 2 hero crates we could have opened. @EA_David, what do you think?
I also received my credits. I went from 682 credits to 387 332 credits. Holy cow.
Thanks for the compensation, developers. Hopefully, you'll have news if we're able to convert this to crafting parts, as that would be the fairest thing.
- ApprovedAnonymous8 years agoGot 58k compensation...but cant buy nothing with it!! What can i buy? Can someone please explain?
Also had my purple starcards messed about with!!
Seems all abit pointless to me 😕 - 8 years ago
I logged in and had a bunch of crates to open. I want to thank EA for fixing this, but I also want to say we waited a very, very long time to have this fixed for us. I would think that there was above the conversion of the credits to parts, some sort of plan to give us a "Thank you for still being customers and waiting 3 months for a fix in the progression system, sort of gift." I might be asking for too much, but I do feel that our time is worth something and this thread being almost 110 posts is pretty substantial I would think. Me thinking might be the error here though.
Credits 234,000 is what I received. I guess I only had a few emotes and guns (13,000) but all and all its nice to finally go into a game and see the progression!
I got one skill point for Armor (this is new) and one for Assult in one match.

Just jumping on the train here. Went from 50 to 184,880 credits this morning. I would also like to know what the plan is to move these to crafting parts/skill points/etc. as it will be ridiculous and a total shame if I have to use these on cosmetic upgrades.
- 8 years agoHey DICE I dont want the 370k credits I got... I want the crafting parts now.
You screwed my progression for months and now I have worthless credits. Thanks. - XFerginatorX8 years agoNew Scout
I can concur that i go on and had 60,000 waiting. Opened the 10 crates that also came with and now i have over 270,000 credits.
Con: I didn't get to use any of this to get crafting part and now is too late
Pro: looks like they fixed the bug once and for all
The Second I Got On (60,241 credits on my account. Minus about 2,000 I already had by default)
Before Opening The Crates Added To Account (60,241 credits)
After Opening All Crates (272,241 credits) - ApprovedAnonymous8 years ago
@Paodok I had a credit increase when I logged in as well. I also had 10 crates to open and each one I opened significantly increased my credits as well. I do have to give credit where due and thank EA for attempting to compensate us for the trouble we have had. I know that this isnt the solution we were hoping for because this still leaves us at a great disadvantage in regards to our character levels being where they potentially could be. Maybe this is just the beginning of what they have planned for our fix, keep in mind that we do have another update coming in April. I know that crafting parts would have been best for us or at least some increase in levels, but I am optimistic at this point because at least our issue is getting some attention !!! I also got about 230K credits.

@XFerginatorX SAME !!! , Hopefully this is just the start, as I posted earlier, we are still at a great disadvantage because we werent able to upgrade our cards like everyone else, but, I am happy that they are attempting to take care of us here in some way.

@EA_David First off, thank you. Please send a sincere thanks to everyone who worked on the latest update and for all of those who communicated with us, despite the presence of hostility on our side. I can relate directly to the in and outs of working for a large corporation and the frustrations that it causes but I also understand the benefits of working for a large corporation so it is a give and take, much like anything in life. The progression system is awesome and most importantly it works well. I already upgraded a card to elite for my fighter and bomber and it didn't take that long so I am excited for the future of this game for the first time in recent months. Although my shorted total has already jumped to 430,000 credits on the first day of opening crates, I am still excited to play again. That said I want to trade in my credits for a Imperial Star Destroyer that I can call in to Galatic Assault.
- ApprovedAnonymous8 years agoObviously seems to me that Dice/EA had the power all along to correct these faults weve had!!
Seems funny how 1.2 didnt work whilst claiming it does and having a new progression system in the pipeline!! (Can smell a rat here)
Whilst its great having (loose) credits here....atm they amount to jack ****
New progression does look promising admittedly and i get the way their going...but you need to appease those who have suffered since!
Still not happy that my Purple star cards have been messed about with in Interceptor and fighter class!!
And its ok that you can spend your credits on aesthetics but i only play starfighter mode and this doesnt give me the ability to dress my Falcon up in Tinsel and go faster stripes!! Or even paint it luminous yellow! - Major-Band1t8 years agoHeroYes. Happened to me too. Now you can't get the crates with crafting points, they fix the delayed pay. Looks like a bait and switch. I asked them to fix a 721 bug, and someone sent me a crate. Nice. Then had a duffuser card issue that was fixed 39 days after reported.
What can your crystals buy you now??? uhhhh a real nice sorry. - ApprovedAnonymous8 years ago
Sorry, but I have to disagree with those giving props to EA for datamining our missing credits.
They're going to turn microtransactions back on. They can't be shorting players when they do that.
EA cannot say "For $20 we'll give you a bunch of credits, but the first $10 or so worth of that are credits you should have earned by didn't because of our bug, oh well, our bad, tough luck, thanks for the cash though!"
We got what we earned, at last. We are still short the opportunity to convert those to crates, which would have been more cards, levels in the new system, maybe an emote along the way, etc. I don't think they've made things even, they just got them closer, and I hope there's a follow-up compensation to make up for the terrible way they dismissed this progression bug without giving it the proper attention they gave credit awards from matches and milestones. This should have been a top-level issue, we got almost no attention for months.

The credits we are all sitting on now are worthless because the real cost to this bug now is Unit Levels. Getting our credits back now is ridiculous and of no compensation at all. We were supposed to get them a month ago... After months of this issue being so poorly handled, putting this patch out before giving us the promised compensation is the stupidest mistake that EA and DICE have made yet. They really must not give a * that so many of us feel like they don't care... Would it have been so hard to roll you credit refunds out first??? A lot of us would have put this behind us and moved on, but this sour taste isn't going away if we aren't compensated directly in Unit Levels spent on the units of our choice.
While this system is overall a lot better for new players, it seems pretty ridiculous for hero ships. You have to be good enough to stay alive forever on them to even be able to level them up and they aren't available very often (while all of the other units advance pretty quickly and are easily available.)

I will comment on this further, but only when both of my player video logs for the game are categorized and uploaded to YouTube for public viewing. I have yet to download the EA SWBF2 March 21st 2018 4.3Gb update which not brings my Xbox One Storage to just about 3.7Gb available. Hmm. over 70Gb's of storage for this game?

My primary Xbox One EA Star Wars Battlefront II Player Account video capture conducted on March 20th 2018 showing my current Rank and standing. This capture was completed one day prior to Update 2.0 Progression dropped on March 21st 2018. Now online, https://youtu.be/rv1IKbdZtWQ Entire Capture is 28:34, but had to speed up 4x to reach 6:42.
After the update has completed its install, I will produce two more videos, and we shall see where that leads.
Stardate 95820.6 - ApprovedAnonymous8 years ago@mysweetescape13 I think I see where this going ... and I know what you'll find once you update. I didnt make a video but I did take screenshots... I'll follow your posts and see where you're going with this. If it where I think I have documentation too. For the moment i am content, but the issue of our characters not being where they are supposed to be because of the bug is still concerning to me.

I just finished my first game after the patch, and on top of the 386 000 credits I earned, I received another 25 000 after the match. Won't have time to play another match, but I would suggest for everyone to at least play a match and see if you still get more credits lagging behind.
- ApprovedAnonymous8 years agoWell I sure thought mine added up to more than 130,000 but whatever. However, I refuse to be negative I'm willing to see if they are going to really make us whole. I honestly think for this game to succeed they have to right all the bugs/ mistakes whatever. I have faith still. Call it whatever. They made this gesture. Let's see if they finish . I love the new system so far. The game is awesome I love Star Wars, and I honestly love the gameplay. Just please EA reward our faith, and make us whole. Thanks

@trydling : So what is your advice regarding what we should do with these credits?
Should we just keep them so in case whoever is making the decisions for this game at EA finally understands our problem and is willing to compensate us with something actually useful to rank up our star cards, how do we prove our eligibility for that swap from "compensation credits" to skill points?
I will definitely make a screenshot first thing today when booting up my Xbox and having received all the compensation credits and I am not really interested in any cosmetics, but what happens if I buy a fancy outfit for one character just for the fun of it? Would that be lost as a calculation base for skill points?
Any advice is highly appreciated.Hang on to them for a while longer and we will get back to you soon. Cheers!
/TLet's hope for the best, folks! - ApprovedAnonymous8 years ago
Thanks @Tillus_Osciliath for posting my question and trydling's answer here in this thread, so people here can follow the progress as well.
It's a bit cumbersome IMHO that we are all forced to follow at least two threads on two different platforms to keep up with the latest news.Edit: just noticed that Trydling's response to my question was the very last entry in that thread before it got closed. 🤔
Some of the details provided in the other thread were also quite important. For example that you now only need 4 skill points to progress from no card to an epic card, which makes the conversion rate of 40 crafting parts to 1 skill point 6x more valuable when it comes to progressing to epic.
Unfortunately I stumbled over that piece of information AFTER I had spent all my crafting parts in expectation of the upcoming patch and the uselessness of credits (and what I had originally thought also being true for crafting parts) for progression purposes.
In any case, I can report that the Patch yesterday worked insofar that I received 140.000 credits by opening all kinds of weirdly named crates.
I am not sure if that was my full missing amount and I am even less sure if in that calculation was included, that for the missed out credits I would have bought crates which in return would have given me plenty more duplicates which I also missed out on (but would have received 35 or 50 crafting parts each time). I guess they probably didn't and probably also rounded up or down the credits amount because 140.000 is quite an even number.
Now after EA finally has implemented a working fix,
- I am sitting on a load of credits I can't buy anything for.
- I am still lagging far behind other players not affected by the duplicate bug regarding the progression of my star cards
- the answers of the community managers regarding the fact that I am NOT interested in any fancy outfits for my Darth Vader or Assault Trooper and hence consider the credits as nearly worthless for me is again "we're working on it, please be patient"
So two big patches later basically not much has changed for me. ☹️
"Please wait, we will be taking care of your progression disadvantage somehow sometime" is still the current state as it has been when I was first confronted with the bug several months ago. - ApprovedAnonymous8 years agoBS.. that's just BS!!!
In the same boat, I received ~190k credits with the patch. Woohoo?
To make this right, the devs really need to give us an option to convert these funds to skill points.
