Forum Discussion
@Paodok DONE .... I just posted in the forums as well. FYI Paodock is MCB in the forums, thats the post you want. I just quoted and added my 2 cents as your solution is acceptable.
@EA_Ataashi I just want to , again, add my comments of frustration. You will see that I also have posted several times both here and in the forums regarding this issue. I am glad to see that there is a new level of communication as far as the game goes as a whole. F8RGE in the forums is doing a great job of that. However, the fact remains that this was an ongoing issue for months and there was no resolution. This issue is STILL not resolved to our satisfaction because the core issue of our complaint was not addressed. An issue that greatly affected our progression levels with those of our peers , and , this was thru no fault of our own. I will also add that I own 2 versions of the deluxe edition , this will greatly effect my decision to purchase a future title, aka - spend more of my money with you guys..... I remodel homes for a living and if I had screwed up like this and NOT fixed the issue going on 5 months now, I'd be homeless on the street corner. Thats just the reality of it. The customer service so far, has really sucked. The credit dump upon change of progression was a nice gesture , but it still did not address the issue........ thats all I'm gonna say for now because I'm starting to feel hostile again and thats not going to solve anything.

@EA_Ataashi, I think I finally figured out a good comparison.
Remember the Luke Hoth challenge? It had a challenge something like 5 Galactic Assault and gave 1000 credits for itself, plus that gave the progress on the Hoth costume challenge.
Imagine if many players were not getting progress from Assault matches while it was happening.
Now imagine if, after the event was over, you went back and figured out who was owed 1000 credits.
You can see our frustration if that didn't include figuring out who should have tripped the costume crate were it not for the bugged incomplete challenge.
That's our problem. We may have our backlog credit "rebate" from crate purchases, but we're still missing the thing we were really after while all that was broken - namely the extra parts from spending those missing credits, and the levels they'd have been turned into.

Guys, give it up. EA isn't giving a sh*t.
They dumped 80 crafting parts through a special "sorry" crate onto everybody a few days ago, after the servers were down for some hours. So apparently they have the means to easily distribute exactly what we duplicate bug sufferers are looking for: a compensation for missed star card progression.
If they were really interested in addressing and solving the issue, they would just dump a certain amount of crafting parts to all the bug affected players and this whole thing were over.
It wouldn't cost them much except maybe some hours of a community manager to work on the credit compensation list (it appears that at least with the last big patch in March everybody affected received missed credits as compensation) and distribute the corresponding crafting parts amount to those players.
But no, instead they prefer to sound like a broken record for over 6 months telling us to be patient and that they are working on a solution. I don't believe them anything anymore and I when I started playing again two days ago there were plenty of low rank players, so apparently their strategy worked. Except they pissed of a lot of fans, who won't forget that easily, but since EA is an stock exchange traded company only the results of the next quarter are important and nobody cares for the long run anymore.

The trouble is that parts are not a solution.
Consider my case with Lando. He's got some rank 2 cards, I need rank 3's. If I'd had my credits to buy crates for parts back when, I'd have those cards at level 3 already.
Right now, though, I need to get more levels with him to be able to buy rank 3 cards. Parts won't help me do that.
As I get him high enough level, I'll earn skill points along the way that I won't bother spending (because not every card is useful) so I won't have use for the parts later, either.
So if they don't have a way to drop levels or XP in crates, then they don't really have a way to give us a compensation crate that addresses our problem.

DICE Team
Hello everyone!
We're currently working on a solution for those who were affected by the earlier No-Credits-for-Duplicates issue. All going to plan, we're hoping to have something in our next update (slated for May.) We will share more details on this closer to that update.

Glad to hear this is still on the radar for the dev team. I'm eagerly awaiting the decided remedy. Thank you!
- ApprovedAnonymous7 years agoI can't wait to see what it is. I have been negative however I feel that my anger is justified. Unfortunately my ps4 is done so hopefully I can get a new one before this season 2 update. I am looking forward to it I might be dumb by being hopeful but I can give one more chance. It is a great game I just wish things were handled better. Although things are slowley looking better on EA's end plz EA keep it up and don't stop turning this around

@EA_Atic Wonderful news and thank you for updating us. I am hoping this means the discussion on the "Coffee Talk Forum" is no longer needed. This is a relief as I have started moving away from Star Wars Battlefront 2 and started playing old games that I never finished such as GTA V and Red Dead Redemption. That and a buddy of mine has got me into PUBG, I never thought I would play that stupid game but together he and I have finished 1st in Duo's 4 of the 6 times I have even played the game.
My heart is obviously still deep in Star Wars, but I feel as though all these issues have made me less excited about playing this game. I will say missing this weekends double XP didn't help me, I should have been playing SWB2 but I only found out Sunday about the Double XP. Oh well, I bet EA does it again for the Han Solo weekend, or at least I hope so.
May the Force Be with you!

I posted in that Coffee Forum that EA Atic has stated it is hopefully going to be addressed in the May patch. I have confidence in both @EA_Atic and @EA_Ataashi who have been the most consistent voices in these threads. Thank you both and I hope the solution is somewhat in line with my example listed here.

- ApprovedAnonymous7 years agoIt is so obvious that that leak is true. EA is abandoning battlefront 2 because THEY efed it up with the money making pay 2 win loot box SCAM! They had to fix that then make it sound like it's our fault. Instead of just having a season pass they got super greedy and tried to FIFA it. I pray that Disney pulls EA star wars license, and gives it to a company that shows the game and it's fans the respect and dedication that it/we deserve

@MrMisanthropy666 sorry but your post doesnt really fit in here. Ofc you can have your opinion, but right now this thread is just about getting compensation for a bug that has already been fixed weeks ago causing harm to the affected players in a system that doesnt even exist anymore. Furthermore the total number of players effected is probably pretty small.
And no, Im not defending EA's idiotic business ideas, but "EA abondoning the game" has nothing to do with our situation. Under no circumstances would our current problem be high priority for any bug fixing team to be solved. Also, EA is not exactly in charge of DICE, they're just big shareholders. DICE is still independent. EA not funding/supporting BF2 anymore, doesnt mean DICE completely shuts down the support (which they obviously didnt do).
Look at it like this: if you'd work in a car workshop, you wouldnt make the guy whose car you've already repaired a month ago priority because you accidently damaged his seat belt.
Ofc he deserves compensation, but that doesnt make him the most important customer in the world nor does it mean you dont care for his concern.
Right now, we are this seat belt.

Well, nothing specifically listed that indicates what the "final thoughts" are regarding our issue. Guess we just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. May The Force be with us!

@MrMisanthropy666 I have no idea what your point is. My front porch is very clean, actually shaved. So Im fine down there, thanks.
If youre referring to my comment on your post a couple of days ago, I just told you in a very polite way, that this thread is not about Disneys business affiliations and speculations of the intern organization of DICE who are not a subsidiary company of EA. Also, I just tried to explain to you, very reasonable, why our problems are not on the top-priority-to-do-list.
I dont know what not to understand about this. I understand your anger, but getting emotional and let your frustraion over EA out on THEIR answer board will for sure not help in anyway.

Less than 24 hours and we should have closure. Finally. Let's lay down our pitchforks, especially the ones pointed at each other, and bask in the afterglow of a well-fought battle.

All I know is I still am not getting assists using my scanner, am still having my character reset to 1st person from 3rd have a lag time of about 45 seconds when each match starts. A lot of the issues that seemed connected appear to have been solved, to a point however it City of Heroes or a newer version was still running I would have been back there months ago. A lot of the issues we were experiencing were very connected (credits other things earned not making it to the player) and rather than address that we have 50 threads about various issues.

Hey guys, I just logged in and received a message regarding our problem!
(which I havent screenshoted cause... Im dumb.)
It said that I receive the message cause Im one of very few players who experienced a Starcard Duplicate bug and therefore we will be able to exchange Credits into Crafting Parts.
We will be able to buy crates (limited to 100 per player) for 2.000 credits per crate and each crate will containt 40 crafting parts.
So in total we will be able to convert up to 200.000 credits into 4.000 crafting parts.

Here's a screenshot of the message RickaySpanish refers to.
Apologies about the low quality, i'll update this if I can get a better shot. - ApprovedAnonymous7 years ago@EA_David here is my question ( since my ps4 took a dump and my replacement won't be here till the end of this week ) these new skill points, are we able to spend them regardless of the level gates? I mean can I upgrade my hero's to epic that are lvl 20? That was the whole problem since the CP we didn't get before the update would move us up in lvl as well. Thanks
Psn Mr_Misanthropy66 - ApprovedAnonymous7 years agoSo disappointing ( nothing new here as usual ) the whole point is that with the level gates in place it voided the value of the CP to SP since our missed progression would have leveled us up. If I didn't miss out on that progression I wouldn't have to worry about lvl gates since I would have been above those levels. WTF are they thinking? I mean I personally posted this thought in "coffee talk" many others brought up the same point. I don't understand this at all maybe @EA_David or @EA_Atic can help here. I just feel like every time I get my hopes up that we will ACTUALLY be made whole or even close we get stepped on. I feel like that lady in the commercial trying to grab the money on the fishing line, and it keeps beigh snached away. Why do I keep reaching? Idk. Ugh
