EA - No respect
Despite my respect for Respawn, I have no faith in EA. After how poorly the support and respect was from EA for SWBF2 customers I refuse to give them my business. I will never let my money contribute...
The launch of the game set the development back quite a bit, pushing everything of schedule and having to do months of work to repair the system. In that time they probably didn't work on much content.
I've been playing this game since launch and the life service and the communication is just really improved. At launch, we wouldn't hear from the developers for months straight, but now we get updates, developer replies and community transmissions (and videos!). As for content, they seem to have gone for more heroes (and modes first). As someone who enjoys the gunfights, I loved the extraction update and I believe that no one in the community has played as much extraction as I do...
The one thing I have been giving as feedback since launch is the linearity of the gamemodes. Galactic assault was great, but I felt like I was always walking the same paths. It's a great mode for reliving the Star Wars movies, but for playing a longer time it gets me boring. Same goes for the other small gamemodes (exception of blast).
But now they actually have added a gamemode with a non-linear (let the players wander free) part, introducing smart AI on the front and more reinforcements: all things I really care about.
Right now we are getting more maps for CS and I hope that other modes will get more maps as well. For me, more maps and new weapons/attachments/abilities are much more important than adding new hero characters, as such an update will have more impact on my gameplay and things I like about the game.
And yes, I've had problems finding full matches as well in EU (when not playing on peak times). But recently they announced that the game has grown in player base again to the point that the game had on the launch, which is amazing for a game that is 1.5 years further after a (pretty big) backlash. So I guess that match-finding-problem is unrelated to the size of the player base. I don't know...
I am positive for the game, but if you get bored of the gunfights, maybe you actually want some new weapons/abilities added as well. Or if you play only SWBFII, I would advise taking a break and maybe try out some other game (Titanfall II campaign is amazing, you should truly try it out)
